"I think that the idea that Black women aren’t experts in general and white women are experts in general really hinders us from being true leaders in international development"

OUR VOICES WILL BE HEARD!

#blackwomenindevelopment is a movement that was launched by Stephanie Kimou, Founder and Prinicpal Consultant of Population Works Africa

She created this space for women for black women working in international development to share opportunities, jobs, events, and stories of our experiences.

Many of us have vented and now is it's time to mobilize and take ACTION!

But first we need the DATA as proof of the crazy racist and sexist experiences we've unfortunately had in our respective workplaces.

DATA IS POWERUL!

For many of us, we use Big data in our everyday work to help our organizations improve their bottom lines, gain agility, spot meaningful innovations, and transform business.

Let's gather the data to REVOLUTIONIZE international development, RECLAIM our time.

Please consider sharing your stories. It will certainly help to make our case stronger

All of your submissions will be used to create maps, charts, and various visualizations of the challenges we so often face in our workplace

A CHANGE IS COMING!
